This is a simple snack to make, but it tastes delicious, it’s rich in nourishing nutrients, and your kids will love it too! Nut butters are a great way to ensure your daily dose of healthy fat and essential fatty acids, which your body needs for balancing cholesterol levels, healthy hormone production, and for regenerating cells. They also nourish your body with quality proteins and minerals. We always recommend making your own butter at home to prevent the intake of unhealthy fat and preservatives added to most store bought brands. Serve this rich butter on apple toast for a healthy dose of vitamin C, and for a refreshingly tart taste that pairs perfectly with its creaminess.Print
1 big apple, sliced and drizzled with lemon to avoid oxidation.
½ cup lightly toasted cashews
¼ cup lightly toasted sunflower seeds
½ cup lightly toasted almonds
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp organic raw honey
Mixed seeds, to garnish
Add the nuts and seeds into the food processor and mix to obtain a smooth butter (it should take about seven minutes).
