Vegan Chocolate Oat Balls

Everything gets better when chocolate is involved, including your health and mood. This is especially true if you use the superpowers of raw cacao. Loaded with essential minerals, polyphenol antioxidants, B complex vitamins, essential fatty acids and protein, raw cacao is not only a nourishing ingredient, but also a detoxifying one. Oats are an excellent source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, and their addition to your diet reduces the amount of time food stays in your digestive system. It and also cleans out toxins, excess estrogen, and cholesterol, flushing them from your system. These two ingredients make a great combination with coconut oil and honey for a detoxifying and mood-boosting snack.

Vegan Chocolate Oat Balls

  • Yield: 6-8 balls


1 cup rolled oats

½ cup sunflower seeds

2 tsp coconut oil

1 tsp organic honey

2 tsp raw cacao, plus extra for coating



Add the oats and sunflower seeds into the food processor and pulse to obtain a fine grind.

Add the coconut oil, honey and cacao, and process to incorporate.

Shape the mixture into little balls, then roll them over a plate dusted with raw cacao. Coat evenly then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
