Vegan Chia Seed Balls

Crunchy and deliciously flavored, these chia-infused balls make a perfect detox snack, because they feature respectable amounts of dietary fiber and healthy fat to cleanse your system and restore your body. These little chia seeds are nutritional powerhouses, containing a wide array of nutrients, – minerals, essential fatty acids, fiber, and protein. Their soluble fiber turns into a gelatinous mass that absorbs excess estrogen, cholesterol, and toxins and flushes them out from your system, preventing them from leaking back into the bloodstream.

Vegan Chia Seed Balls


  • Yield: 8-10 balls

Ingredients

1 cup chia seeds, plus extra for coating

½ cup almonds

¼ cup rolled oats

2 tsp coconut oil

1 tbsp unsweetened desiccated coconut

1 tbsp raw agave nectar

 


Instructions

In a food processor add the chia seeds, almonds and oats, and blend to obtain a fine grind.

Add the coconut oil, agave nectar, desiccated coconut, and mix to obtain a sticky mixture.

Shape little balls using your palms, add them into an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
